Grass Cloth Bedroom…Say What?

The ingenuity of man never ceases to amaze me. When I first heard about decorating the bedroom with grass cloth I just couldn’t believe it. Then again, being Danish, I figured that something might be lost in translation. The image I had in my mind was walls and floors covered in lush green grass. I had to turn to one of my best friends…Google. I was slightly disappointed by the result. I kind of like the image of green soft grass in the bedroom, but that obviously isn’t the case.

So what is grass cloth? Well, what we’re really talking about here is wallpaper made of grass. Imagine my dissapointment when the initial image was lush green grass. Having said that there seems to be a number of advantages to green cloth wallpaper. First of all many of these wallpaper products are made from natural products. In the times where everybody are talking about the climate change that’s not a bad thing.

Yeah, that’s what I thought as well. Environmentally friendly, natural product and so on are all definitions of what has to be the ugliest thing you can put on your walls. Think again! Grass cloth wallpaper can look just as good as any other type of wallpaper. You can also use them to really add a tropical atmosphere to your bedroom.

Imagine waking up in a tropical cabana in Hawaii or some other tropical paradise. Imagine waking up in that tropical cabana every single day. With a grass cloth bedroom you don’t even have to move there! Allright, I have to admit that depending on where you live that illusion will most likely come to an end as soon as you step out of the bedroom, but that’s a minor detail.
