3. Rent Out One Of The Rooms: Letting somebody else rent a room in the attic is a great way to make money. A cheap room in the attic would be perfect for a student on a budget.

If you actually plan on spending time in your attic a bit of insulation is a must. In fact, there are a number of good reasons for making sure your attic is properly insulated. A lot of heat is likely going to waste just because your attic isn’t insulated the way it’s supposed to be.

Another potential money saver is a skylight. If it’s an energy efficient window it’s a great way to save electricity. The sun will be shining from the morning to the early evening giving you plenty of light.
